Nina Kobiashvili is an international stage designer whose portfolio includes film, television, theatre, opera, arena performances and global sporting events. She is based in London and has been working
in the UK, Germany, Italy, Malta, Canada, Morocco, Turkey, Russia and Georgia.
She graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design with a BA (Hons) in Theatre & Performance Design. She then received a Commendation of Excellence Award from the BBC Vision Design Awards for Production Design.
Prior to her career in set design, Nina graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University in Georgia with an MSc (Hons) in General Internal Medicine.
Her extensive portfolio includes set and costume design for the contemporary ballet “Carmen” by renowned choreographer Didy Veldman. Queen Elizabeth Hall at Southbank Centre, UK, 2022 by Bird & Carrot Productions. Starring celebrated dancers Natalia Osipova and Isaac Hernandez has received outstanding reviews.
Costume and projection design for the contemporary ballet “Genesis Dance Project”, featuring the music of iconic Genesis British rock band from the 70s to the 90s. Set and costume design for the Cameron Mackintosh musical, ”Oliver!” by Lionel Bart and the opera “Mitridate, Re di Ponto” opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre in collaboration with the Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theatre in Georgia, 2011, 2012. Directed by David Sakvarelidze and conducted by Gianluca Marciano.

TV drama “Poppy Shakespeare” by Benjamin Ross for Channel 4 TV and Cowboy Films, UK. It won the Panavision Spirit Award for Independent Cinema at the 24th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Feature film “Generation P” by Victor Ginzburg for Studio Room, Karo-Film, Gorky Film Studio. The film was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and East of the West Festival. It also received a Special Mention and Special Jury Prize at the 2012 Sofia International Film Festival.
Feature film “Jolly Fellows” by Felix Mikhaylov for Survive Entertainment and Timeline Studio. The film was presented at the Toronto International Film Festival and the 60th Berlin IFF Panorama.
Feature film “The Seventh Day” by Kakha Kikabidze for the AI Production Film Company and Gorky Film Studio. The film was featured at the 28th Moscow International Film Festival.
