The novel “Anna Karenina” by Leo Tolstoy is staged as musical on ice, which is already an innovation on its own right. It is 2.5 hours of a spectacular ice performance with large-scale scenography, an exciting plot and unexpected contemporary choreography and stage direction, amazing music and stylish, extravagant costumes. The best figure skaters in the world of figure skating proved to perform as a serious dramatic actors as well, taking you to the various themes and locations of the play: ballrooms, horse races, railway station, intimate interiors, vast province, misery of unhappy existence, love and passion.
The couple of Karenins’ performed by Olympic bronze medalists, world champions, two-time European champions – Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin. Anna Karenina’s beloved Vronsky represented by the Olympic champion, two-time world champion, three-time European champion – Roman Kostomarov. Kitty played by the two-time world champion, the silver medalist of the Olympic Games Evgenya Medvedeva. Levin is performed by the World and European Championship bronze medalist, Olympic Games silver medalist Alexander Enbert. In the role of Stoker, one of the most titled Russian athletes – Olympic champion, four-time world champion, three-time European champion Alexey Yagudin. Olympic champions, five-time European champions, two-time world champions Tatyana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin starring as Betsy and Becker. The Oblonsky’ family performed by two-time world champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Stavisky.
